Fainting happens when your brain does not receive enough blood. If you feel yourself about to faint, sit with your head between your knees. This will increase oxygen flow to the brain.
Blackout Causes
Blackouts can be a sign of serious conditions like high blood pressure, heart failure, or heart rhythm problems, especially if blackouts are combined with other symptoms. Fainting can signify much less serious conditions, like fatigue or hunger. If you experience regular blackouts, contact your healthcare provider.
